Rainbow M&M Cookies (by honeysuckle)

Let's BAKE!


1 stick of butter, room temperature

¾ cup of brown sugar

¼ cup of white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

½ teaspoon of baking soda

½ teaspoon of kosher salt

1 ½ cup all purpose flour

1 cup m&m plus more on top

In a large bowl, mix the sugar with butter until fluffy. You can use melted butter, but make sure it cools all the way down before adding the egg. Add the egg and mix again.

Sprinkle in the salt, vanilla extract, and the baking soda right on top so it mixes.

Stir in flour, m&m and scoop onto a baking tray.

If you want thin spread out cookies, put it in the oven right away. If you want it to be domey and puffy, put them into the freezer for 10 minutes. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes until they are golden brown.

Cooking it longer will result in a cakey thick cookie so under bake it a bit.
